shahi pulao

Image1 cup basumati rice

1 each of almonds, raisins and cashew

5 cardamom bods

4 cloves

1 nutmeg

1 chopped pineapple

½ cup apple

1 cup curd

1 cup milk

2 tsp ghee

Salt to taste

In a cooker warm the ghee and roast the cashew, almond, raisin, cardamom clove and nutmeg, sauté for a minute add in curd, and milk and bring to a boil, now add salt.

Add in washed rice, and chopped fruits.

Cook to one whistle on low flame.(I am impatient, I don’t add additional water since curd and milk provide the required water content, I let the cooker blow three  whistles on high or medium flame its faster.)

Ensure that the ingredients and well mixed and serve hot.
