1 cup chopped methi leaves
1 cup rice
2 cups water or as required by the rice
1 onion finely sliced
2 tomatoes finely cut
½ tsp. Each of clove and cinnamon powder
1 tbsp. Jeera
1 tsp. Chilli powder.
Salt to taste
In a pressure cooker heat the oil, and add in the jeera, when the jeera roasts,
Add in the onion, chilli powder, clove and cinnamon powder sauté for a minute
Add in the methi, and rice, sauté a minute,
Add tomatoes, water and salt to taste.
Pressure cook like you would do with normal rice.
I add in special touches at times like peas or garlic. can be served with salads, or raita
