1 cup diced radish/ mooli

1 cup chopped drumstick

2 brinjal (eggplant) chopped into 8 pieces

2 tsp each of coriander powder and jeer powder

2 taps of tamarind extract

2 tsp of roasted powdered gram flour.(puttani/hurikadale powder)

Pinch of turmeric

1 tsp of chilli powder

1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste

¾ cup water

Green chillies 2

1 tsp jaggery

1tsp mustard

2 tsp kharipatta

Salt to taste

Method

In a pan put a tsp of oil; add mustard, kharipatta, and green chilli, ginger-garlic paste.

When the mustard spurts add chopped drumstick radish and sauté

Add drumstick and brinjal and sauté for a minute add water and cook till soft.

Now add turmeric, chilli powder, salt, tamarind, jaggery, coriander powder jeera powder and bring to a boil

Add the powdered gram flour and turn the fame off when the first boil emerges

Can be served rice, dosa or chapatti

If you can roast the jeera powder and coriander powder dry  it adds to the fragrance.
