Mashed mooli


1 cup diced radish

1         Cup radish cut to one inch long slices.

1 cup grated fresh coconut

2  tbsp roasted  gram seeds.

1 tsp.grated jaggery

1 tsp tamarind soaked in water

4 green chillies

4 tbs. Coriander leaves

1 tsp grated ginger

1 kharipatta

1 tsp each of mustard and urad dal

Salt to taste.

in a wok pour a tsp of cooking oil, sauté green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves

To this add graded radish, coconut grating roasted gram slat, jaggery, tamarind and grind to a fine paste with minimum water.

Now pound the radish cut length wise and add to the ground mixture.

In another wok heat oil, add mustard urad dal and kharipatta.

Pour this over the mixture

Serve hot with rice or roti.
