Easing the apple cake out the oven, its hiss giving out the fragrance of apple, cinnamon the crust settling in beautifully. I can see my daughters at the dining table, waiting for it to cool. Its just my way of making my otherwise acrid life beautiful. It is brought back the love and bonding that comes with my daughters. Yes, if anything can do it, it the oven and the cake.
Here is my quick apple cake recipe. Again, my favorite equipment, my Shanta grinder. I use the dough kneading blade for it.
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour.
½ apple puree.
½ sugar powdered.
¼ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8th tsp. cinnamon powder.
1/3rd cup melted butter.
½ cup milk
¾ tsp. vinegar.
Preheat the oven to 170oC
Method:
- Sift the flour with baking powder and soda.
- Add in the cinnamon powder if you are adding all spices please do.
- Add the powder sugar.
- Add in the melted butter
- Add the apple puree.
- Finally add in the vinegar and milk
- Make sure that the batter is smooth.
- Grease a bowl with butter
Pour the cake mix into the greased bowl and bake at 170OC for 25-30mnts. Check with knife if before taking it out. Cool the cake before cutting.
