Dalimbe mosaru-gojju.

Dalimbe or pomegranate peel is extremely medicinal particularly in healing in challenged stomach. Though it does have acrid after taste is quite great dish to accompany khichdi.

Ideal thing to do is to sun dry the pomegranate peel and powder it.

in case you have fresh peel then dry roast it.

ingredients:

2tbsp. of dried dalimbe powder.

½ tsp. jeerige ( Cumin)

½ tsp. Olle menasu ( pepper) / 2 green chillies.

½ cup scraped coconut.

½ cup curd.

¾ tsp. salt.

For tempering.

1 tsp. coconut oil.

1 tsp. mustard seeds.

1/2tsp. urad daal

1 dried red chilli.

Pinch of asafoetida.

Curry leaves.

Method:

Grind all the ingredients to a smooth paste.

In a wok heat 1 tsp. of coconut oil (you can use more its your choice) add mustard and urad daal to it.

When the mustard begins to sputter add the red chilli, turn the flame off, add the asafoetida, and curry leaves. Pour this over the ground mixture. Serve with rice, idli, roti, dosa whatever your choice.
